Pastor Willie A. Wright, Jr. was born February 4, 1957 to Mr. and Mrs. Willie A. Wright, Sr.  Pastor Wright grew up on military bases around the United States and received much of his formal education in various locations including Germany. He is a 1975 graduate of Columbia High School where he participated in athletics, as well as student government.  He later attended Newberry College, and again participated in athletics, student government, and received his B.A. Degree in Sociology. While at Newberry, he met the former Kathy Fisher of Greenwood, SC and would later be joined to her in holy matrimony. From this union God would add two sons, Jason, and Brandon, and two granddaughters Charleston Marie Wright (also known as "Hot Sauce") to her granddaddy, and Braylen Elizabeth.

Pastor Wright gave his life to Christ while attending The Brookland Baptist Church of West Columbia, SC., and was licensed to preach there in December of 1993. In January 1995, he was called by The Rock Hill Baptist Church of Sumter, SC and served there until called by God to serve as Pastor of The New Bethel Missionary Baptist Church in April 1998, where he continues to serve faithfully. Pastor Wright’s Motto has always been: “If I can help somebody as I travel along, if I can cheer somebody with a word or song, if I can show my brother he’s traveling wrong, then my living will not be in vain".
